Preparing for Contract Negotiations this Year

This is our 2nd survey, getting us ready for contract negotiations. (Many thanks to the 1300 SHARE Members who filled out the survey about career advancement!) This survey focuses on what if feels like to work here:

  • How are SHARE members doing?

  • Do you want to stay at UMass Memorial?

  • What’s it like working with your supervisor/manager?

  • Is your Unit Based Team (if you have one) helping make work better?

  • Have you ever been called to a meeting with your manager about your work? What was it like?

  • What do you think of the work that the SHARE Union is doing?

How SHARE Will Use the Surveys

The surveys are anonymous. SHARE presents the data for our whole union to management in our negotiations. After this survey is completed, the 3rd and final SHARE survey will be about our overall priorities for negotiations, raises, health insurance, etc, as well as about how technology is changing jobs.

Your Voice Matters

The SHARE member surveys accomplish many goals:

  • Clarify SHARE members’ priorities for negotiations

  • Help us understand what issues matter most for which groups of SHARE members

  • Document SHARE members opinions to show to management in negotiations
